The colour characteristics (intense red typical of Tuscan terracotta) and high thermal shock resistance of this type of clay makes it suitable for the production of terracotta for exterior use.

With its characteristics of resistance to thermal shock, this body is ideal for producing ovenware. The use of a small flame spreader is always recommended. The low coefficient of expansion makes glaze crazing an inevitable occurrence.
