In late 2005 Colorobbia Spa began producing bodies for sanitaryware at its new factory in Gallese (VT).
This project stemmed from a desire to broaden the range of bodies available to cater for growing demand for more technical bodies with greater resistance to thermal and mechanical stresses.
The location of the factory was chosen in view of the fact that the companies in the Civita Castellana cluster are the largest group of manufacturers in Italy and are also important at an international level. But to allow the bodies to be sold outside the local market, they are supplied not only as a ready-to-use liquid but also in big bag compositions, as dried pellets or in a plastic state.
Along with traditional Vitreous China and Fire Clay, we also offer an innovative Fine Fire Clay that delivers the same mechanical performance as the Fire Clay but which has far fewer granules on the surface and does not require engobing prior to glazing.

Alongside our production of bodies, we have also conducted research into white glazes, applying our experience in the various fields of vitrifiable products to sanitaryware surfaces and temperatures. We have achieved excellent results in terms of the glossiness of surfaces and greater hygroscopicity and wear and stain resistance than traditional glazes.
We have also developed a series of high temperature resistant stains and a wide range of coloured gloss and matt glazes that have been very well received by users.
Last but not least, we have begun to offer special glaze applications with the addition of granules, speckling agents and/or reagents to create effects such as marble, granite and metals.
